Babymoon in Austin

by Emily

Richard and I had always wanted to take a “babymoon” before the day we became parents. One last hurrah before ending our party of two. Well, having twins changes things so we had a limited area to where we could travel. Really it was anything driving distance, so Austin we went! Austin did not disappoint between the great food, entertainment, and “weirdness”. (There is a saying, “keep Austin weird”.) ┬áDuring our time in Austin, we visited some of the eclectic antique shops, ate at the most delicious Indian food restaurant, and saw an old classic film, Suspicion, with Carey Grant and Joan Fontaine in a vintage theater. We also tried to see the bats (millions of them) fly out from underneath the Congress bridge at dusk, but we had to run to catch our movie. Overall, it was some wonderful quality time just the two of us. We will both miss these days of just us two, but we couldn’t be more excited for the changes up ahead!
