Sheryl’s Wedding

My dearest Sheryl is married! Words cannot express how thrilled I am for her. She has definitely paid her dues in the world of dating and she finally met her perfect match. Matt really is perfect for her, like truly perfect. I loved seeing her laugh and happy cry and just beam through her whole wedding day. She looked simply radiant and I couldn’t have wished for anything better. They got married in the beautiful Provo City Center temple. I was so excited to get to go inside and see all the beautiful design work. I was 25 weeks pregnant with the twins and was definitely feeling it. Between the traveling and spending the night before on my feet at my baby shower, I was mostly just trying to hide how swollen my ankles were. Eek! Bless Sheryl for picking a maternity friendly bridesmaid dress. It helped that I was one of four pregnant bridesmaids. Yes, FOUR! During the reception Matt and Sheryl danced on the dance floor the whole time. Just how I always imagined her wedding reception would be. I made a few appearances on the dance floor, but for the most part I propped my feet up and ate banana pudding. The perks of being a pregnant lady.

Utah Baby Shower

utah-baby-shower-blog-3

My best friend Sheryl was getting married in Utah and I was honored to be a bridesmaid. Well, the fabulous Mama Bean offered to throw me a baby shower while I was in town and knowing her track record of throwing amazing showers, I was so excited that she offered! She, Rachel and Elissa orchestrated the most beautiful shower. The evening summer weather was absolutely perfect and the Bean home backyard was just dreamy. It’s dreamy on its own, but Robbie and Papa Bean strung lights up to make it even more beautiful. We had a spread of some amazing salads (Erin made two of her famous salads from her blog), Mama Bean’s rolls and sugar cookies, a s’more station and a root bear float bar. It was some good eats! Best of all, I was so touched by how many family and friends made the effort to come. Summertime can be crazy busy, but so many friends and family members came to celebrate. My Mom even flew out for it! By the end of the night I truly felt so showered with love and support. Grateful for the effort of so many family members to put together such a wonderful celebration for our  upcoming twins.

Texas Adventures

Through our short time here in San Antonio, Emily and I have visited some spectacular sites with some great people. A couple favorites so far include floating down the Guadalupe river with our friends, the Cooks and Theurers, and going to a fun watering hole with the Gneitings. We are happy we could take advantage of the beautiful summers and cool off with friends/family.

A Week of Celebrations

Whew! We had a week of back to back celebrations in Utah. First we celebrated Grandma Bean turning 90 years old. Then we met our beautiful new niece, Alice. The we celebrated Dave turning 30 years old. Then we went up to Park City to celebrate 3 years of wonderful marriage. Then we went to Indian food with Nathan and Erin to celebrate my birthday. Erin even made the most amazing strawberry pie. It was to die for! Then the cherry on top of a perfect week was a fun double date with Deb and Matt Wilson. It really kills me that we aren’t neighbors with them. Best of all, I had a lot of quality time with my main man and nothing beats that.
